Male Chorus Announces Post-Secondary Scholarships
The Cold Spring Area Maennerchor, a male chorus located in the Cold Spring, Minnesota area, has announced their 2019-20 college or post-secondary education scholarship program.
This annual program is open to all male singers of high school or post secondary age, who successfully complete a year of singing with the Cold Spring Area Maennerchor. This year, successful candidates will share in approximately $1,000 to $1,500 in scholarships to be awarded.
To be eligible, applicants must be either enrolled in or accepted at undergraduate university/college programs during the upcoming academic year.
To receive a scholarship, prospective recipients MUST complete all of the following:
1. Attend twenty-six (26) Maennerchor rehearsals every 12 months or calendar year;
2. Sing at all Maennerchor fund raising events and the annual Associated Male Choruses of America Big Sing; and
3. Sing at at least three (3) non-fundraising Maennerchor events.
Eligibility: The scholarship is for post-secondary education, which will be sent to the recipient's college or university of choice.
Distribution: Funds to be distributed will be divided between eligible candidates.
Interested candidates are required to complete a Maennerchor Scholarship application form, and submit it with a copy of their most recent college or post-secondary transcript of courses/grades, or in the case of High School students who are applying, with a copy of their letter of acceptance at a college or post-secondary institution.
Completed application forms and accompanying documents, must be received by the Cold Spring Area Maennerchor Scholarship Committee no later than March 1st for the following academic year.
